Network Crash .. Hub Related

I connect to the internet through a cable modem. I have a network set up. The
main computer has 2 e-net cards. A hub is connected to the 2nd card and my
laptop and my roommate’s computer connects to the hub. The hub got unplugged
while the network was in use and now the network doesn’t work and the shared
net doesn’t work. The laptop tries to connect and says it has limited access
(but nothing works). I tried setting up a new home network, I uninstalled and
reinstalled the network card drivers, nothing works, and it seems that it
maintains the old network settings even after I delete the drivers and
resetup the network. Please help me!!!

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
