network connections options/questions

how do i get it so that two or more connections will work together? i have a
LAN connection, WLAN connection, and a gprs modem connection on my pc. they
are all running. when one goes down, another goes into action. and there is
always a pause between the switching of the connections. durring that time
the internet is temperaraly down. how do i fix this?

well, i sorta found away around it with my gprs modem connection and my WLAN
connection on my EVO notebook PC. on that laptop those two connection seem
to work together. the gprs connection is like a cache in a way for the WLAN
connection. if these two connection on this PC are being used independantly
they switch between eachother seemlessly with no drop in the connection. you
would not even notice that the network connection was changing. and the
connections are not bridged or anything.

yet, when i use those two connections at the same time on my zd8000 those
two connections do not work together. they can only be switched between
eachother with the internet connections dropping durring the connection
switch.

on both PCs the connection will drop when switching from a LAN to a WLAN
connection or vise versa. i don't really mind that but i do mind the
connection dropping between the switching of the wireless networks. they are
both running xp. the EVO is like 7 years old and is a phone device, while
the zd8000 is a year old and is not a phone device. they are both using a
pcmcia gprs modem for the gprs connection.

can someone possibly help me fix this issue if they can understand it in the
terms i put it in?
