Seriously confused!!!

I have just upgraded to broadband. The set up seemed
to go ok. However, when I checked my network connections,
the broadband is disconnected, and the dialup is
connected. I am using Speedtouch Connection provided by
my BB server Tiscali. This is the one listed under
dialup, and is in use.
When I switch them around to connect the BB
connection, 'error 678' comes up! I'm not overly
knowledgable about PC's. Can somebody tell me if I'm on
dialup or BB. Tried contacting Tiscali, but they never
seem to answer the bloody phone!!! Can still get online,
but am I paying BB prices for dialup? When I turn on my
PC, I have to double click on the SpeedTouch icon to
connect. Is this the normal process for a BB connection?
Having other problems too...but I'll not bore you with
these just yet! :) H..E..L..P!!!

You have asked the very question that I was about to ask! Did you receive a satisfactory reply, If so I would be most grateful for any information, I have also experienced the difficulties you referred to When attempting to contact Tiscali's "Support Line"
