Network Connection: Status does not open

Hi, I've posted before but didn't recieve a response from someone who knew
what they were doing, lol

I have three network conenctions, two automatically created b/c I have two
fire-wire ports, one ethernet connection.

I cannot open the status of my network connections; I double checked with
the firewire and I cannot open it on them either, I can check properties,
disable - re-enable (though to see the icon change I have to close and
re-open the window), and repair the ip just fine.
Every time I try to open the 'status' the window simply, doesn't open.

Thoughts?
