network connection problems.

there is a laptop here at work that the Internet connections are slow. Some
times you can get to a site and sometimes the “Page not found†DNS error is
displayed even for the same site if you refresh.

Even our default company intranet page will get the error or not come up all
the way.

It is also extremely slow to display drives in My Computer….even the c: drive
All settings seem correct. Good IP address, DNS and WINS servers are correct.
I can ping the DNS and WINS server just fine.

This happens when connected to the company network or if the user is in a
hotel using wireless or wired connection.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Well, you didn't mention the operating system version, the browser version
or how this Laptop connect to the internet or how much RAM and Disk space
this Laptop has.
But here is a guess try it and see:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Network connection.
On your LAN connection Right click and select Properties, make sure on the
Properties by highlighting the Internet protocol and click properties that
the your computer obtaining IP address Automatically and click [OK] to close
the LAN Properties and close the Network connection window.
= Open a Run command and type in:
ipconfig /flushdns click [OK]
ipconfig /renew click [OK]
netsh winsock reset click [OK]
Note the space between ipconfig_/.
Reboot your computer and see if you will be able to access the Internet.

If not try this:
1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:

Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
