Network connection keeps dropping

My network connection keeps dropping while I am connected, even though
nothing has changed. I use offline files a lot and when it drops the
connection it says I am working offline. I press synchronise and the
connection usually comes back up.

Can anyone tell me why this is as I am starting to lose work. Many thanks

What kind of connection - dialup or dsl/cable? How are you connected -
direct to modem or via router?

You not the only one. I've talk to several of my fellow consultants in my
area (Houston, TX!), and found that there appears to be a bug in XP
clients. Specifically the network will disappear for 15 seconds or so. It
started to show up on my systems a couple of months ago. Since it's all
systems, and been seen by other people, it's got to be something in one the
updates in the last couple of months. If I figure out which, I'll let you
know.
