Network connection icon

My system is running fine, but the icon that shows the two flashing computor
screens in the system tray is missing, likewise, the icon is also missing out
of the network connections folder, I have tried different things from the
windows knowledge base without any luck, any ideas andybody?

If you have tried all things mentioned in the link, you may want to call Microsoft for the hotfix.

When you open your Network Connections folder in Windows XP/2003, you find that your network connections such as Local Area Network, High-Speed Internet, Dial-up, wireless network connection and New Connection Wizard are not listed....
