Network connection hangs

Whenever I use certain network intensive things, like
MMO's my network connection hangs and will not respond to
repairs, removes, or anything untill restart (this happens
after about 30 sec - 10 min of being connected).

My Machine:

WinXP SP2, though I upgraded to SP2 after this started.
Laptop with Intel Centrino 1300
Mobility Radeon 9200
