Network Change

Let's say I put a new system together, and the computer connects to the
Internet through a router that is connected to a cable modem through "ISP
A". Now after the system is ready to go, the user takes it home, and they
hook it up directly to their DSL modem through "ISP B", and the Internet
won't work once the computer is home. What normally would be the settings I
need to check provided all connections are good? I'm weak on networking.
Thanks.

We already tried that, and it wouldn't even allow me to release because it
seems to think the computer is not connected to the DSL modem at all.

Got a replacement DSL modem for the system, and it turns out that the DSL
modem went bad.
