I am running XP Professional on an older Dell box.
Network card is a Dlink DFE-530TX. I can install drivers
for this card and it runs OK for a while, then the card
is recognized as a "VIA ..." card and comes up
disconnected and I cannot use. I have to uninstall the
card, install the proper driver again, and it works OK
again for a while and then XP recognizes it as the wrong
card again. Any thoughts??

I had installed the latest and greatest drivers from
Dlink after initially having the problem. That did not
solve the problem. Wierd thing is that the driver is the
same file name for both the Dlink and the VIA cards, but
it only works if the card is identified correctly as the
Dlink card.
