Network Bridge

I have a situation where a 192.168.0.0 network is loaning a connection (via
802.11b) to another 192.168.0.0 network (802.3). ICS seems to refuse to
work because a w.x.0.1 exists on the lender network and I cannot change the
IP address of the lender's router to suit my wants.

I want to try a network bridge but Microsoft documentation is somewhat
lacking within XP and on their support site (Knowledge Base). The help
within XP reads essentially that it should "just work" when activated. It
does not, however, detail what should be done to the clients within the
lendee network. Are they to use DHCP? Use the IP address of the Network
Bridge as the gateway? Do you even bother configuring the IP address of the
Network Bridge?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The Network Bridge joins two or more physical networks into one
logical network. All of the computers should use the same IP subnet.
It makes no difference whether their addresses are static or dynamic.
Just make sure that there's only one DHCP server on the combined
networks.

I've written a web page with more information:
