I have WinXP Pro SP2 and a Linksys LNE100TX network adapter. I am getting a
yellow triangle with an exclamation point on my network icon in my system
tray. When you hover the cursor of the icon you see the popup bubble
message "Limited or no connectivity". I tried plugging in a spare USB
adapter that I had lying around and I get the same thing. Is there
something corrupt in my WinXP environment?

Check you network cable. If both network adapters give the same results, then
it is the cable or the network port (at the other end of the cable, away from
the PC!)
