Network Adapter not installed?

Hi,

I tried adding one of my computer to a existing workgroup using the network
wizard but i am given this error:
"The wizard cannot create a wireless network, either because a network
adapter is not installed or because software for the wireless adapter is not
installed."

This computer is linked to my router via cable and i have installed the
software the LAN Card. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Which of these two different wizards are you running?

Network Setup Wizard
Wireless Network Setup Wizard

I suspect that you're running the wireless one and that your computer
doesn't have a wireless network adapter. In that case, the error
message that you're getting is right. You don't need to run the
wireless wizard on a computer that connects to the router via cable.

To add your computer to a workgroup, use the regular (non-wireless)
Network Setup Wizard.
