Network: 2000 Prof + 98 + Belkin wi G router

I need help setting up a home network.

1) desktop running Windows 2000 Professional,
2) laptop running Windows 98,
3) Belkin wi G router connected to cable modem and desktop,
4) notebook has Belkin wi G network card, and
5) printer connected to desktop via USB.

So far the two computers can both share the internet (no
problems, and the desktop can still access the printer.

I have NO idea how to make the two computers talk to each
other, and most importantly, how to get the laptop to
access the printer.

I've wandered through the MS site and can't seem to find
the info I need that tells me how to set up the network
(peer to peer?).

Any help would be MOST appreciated!
