NETSH and DNS client config

Hello,

I'm trying to configure several hundred servers in anticipation of
migrating them to AD (all running W2K Advanced Server), so I've been
experimenting with configuring them via netsh. I can't seem to find an
easy way to basically check the 'Register this connections' addresses
in DNS' box from the command line using netsh. We do not use DHCP,
although the DHCP client service is enabled (set to automatic, so it's
running everywhere).

What would be a good way to enable this via netsh? Thanks for any
insight anyone can offer!

not sure about netsh but WMI will allow you to do that. Download the WMI
scriptomatic from Microsoft and it will show you the options you have
available. I need to do the same thing so maybe in the future I can give
more info.

quick and dirty way is ipconfig /registerdns from batch file. althought
thats only a one time shot.
