Windows XP Netscape 8.1.3 log in error signal

The application or DLL C:\PROGRA~1\scanner\pptctl.dll is not valid windows image. Please check against your installation discette
 
What are your system specs & operating system?
When did the problem first happen, had you changed or added anything??

System is windows XP professional
First happened when downloading Netscape 8.1.2
 
Try to download it again to you hard drive & see what happens?
 
When does this error occur, when starting windows, running netscape or installing it?
