Netowrk Shortcuts Not Working

Hello;
I have upgrading some users to XP recently and when they click on a shortcut
icon on their desktop that targets a Microsoft Access DB (Office 2000), it
never opens. The only way the users can open the file is by opening
microsoft access then browsing to the shared drive and selecting the Database.

Any reason why this would happen and a way around this?

Someone on an Access newsgroup might know better, but it could be due to
a local .LDB file.
