NETLOGON error Even ID 5917

I followed the instructions in article 310339, but the
error still exists. Need help! Thanks.


The error message in the Event Log:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5719
Date: 9/28/2001
Time: 4:12:55 PM
User: N/A
Computer: Server
Description:
No Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller is
available for domain <domain name>. The following error
occurred:
There are currently no logon servers available to service
the logon request

If you have the same issue after followed 310339, I would reply spx. If
still the same problem, you may try to change another NIC or different slot.

A number of different things can cause this error. How often does it
occur? Are there any other events that correspond with this event? Is the
machine multi-homed?
A bad NIC or driver could be the problem, try upgrading the driver.
Gigabit cards are particularily prone
Sometimes disabling media sense helps. Q239924 How to Disable Media Sense
for TCP/IP in Windows
Spanning Tree Protocol on the switch can also cause the problem, try
disabling STP or enabling portfast (for Cisco)
