NETFrame 2 problem

I completed a Windows update a while back and apparently selected to loaded
MS NETFrame V.2050727. Problem is, it didn't install correctly and I have a
bunch of missing files. When I run Norton Win Doctor, it show 10 problems
with MS NETFrame. All missing files. They start with AppLaunch.exe,
Aspnet_regiis.exe, etc

My question is: Can I just uninstll NetFrame? I don't know too much about
what it is but I don't think I need it. If I can't uninstall it. Is there a
way I can reinstall it so all the files are installed?

Thanks for the help.

Bet you're getting a message saying a certain dll is missing. (Unfortunately
I don't remember which one). Simply FIND the dll and COPY it to
windows/system32.

Yes you can uninstall from Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs {select show
updates}. You only need .NET Framework 2 if your have an application that
uses version 2 of .NET Framework. Version 2 of .NET Framework is the latest
version and you can re-install by running Windows/Microsoft Update. In
Add/Remove Programs, you should also have prior versions of .NET Framework
which you should leave. Applications that use .NET Framework are frequently
version dependent.

If you install a new application that needs .NET Framework 2, the
application will likely install it for you if you do not have it installed.

I would check with Symantec support {
http://service.symantec.com/index.html } about the report of missing files
if you still have the problem after running Symantec Live Update for your
Symantec applications. Version 2 is recent so your Win Doctor may need an
update for this version.

Thank you for the replies, especially Don. The explaination was clear and
complete. I will try to uninstall it, since I don't need it.
