Help! I keep getting the following message when trying to run a custom
program that I purchased for my business: note I'm running Vista Home
premium and have netframe 3.5 installed

Contact your application vendor. This group is for questions on developing
against the .NET Framework, not for providing general support on .NET

Having said that, your problem is that either the application setup is not
properly installing the Jet Engine, which it apparently needs, or you're
running 64-bit Vista. By default, .NET applications will run as 64-bit on
64-bit Windows, and the Jet Engine has no 64-bit version. There are
workarounds for this situation, but you're much better off asking the people
who wrote the application.

Looks like the ODBC source is missing , the driver so to say.
Downloading mdac and then trying could help. Can you tell us the
software you are trying to install. It might help knowing that to say
what ODBC driver you need to run the software. Could be access , SQL or
oracle , or breive or mysql.
