Net Time on Windows 2000 Clients

Jon

I'm running net time \\servername /set /yes in my logon
script. The Window 98 PC's on the network sync their
clock normally. The Windows 2000 PC's receive an error
message stating that they do not have permission to run
that command. The users on the Windows 2000 PC's are not
power users or administrators of their PC. What can be
done to have the net time command sync the Windows 2000 PC
with out giving the user PowerUser or Administrator rights
on their PC?

You may use a GPO to change NT rights for the user group.
Open the GPO (or create a new one) and go to
Computer configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security settings ->
Local security Policy -> User rights assignments -> "Change System
Time"

Ciao, Walter
