I'm trying to connect a windows 98 client to a windows
2000 server. Everything works exept for the home drive
mapping.

Whatever I try all I get is a mapping to the shared dir
and not to the users dir
for instance the logon script saye net use h:
\\servername\homefolder\%username%
The client has a drive H: homefolder, the users own dir
can be selected from the list of dir's there.

The same user on a w2k workstations and the dir works
fine??

Anyone an idea?

I dont think Windows 98 can go that deep...

It can only go to \\ShareServer\ShareName, from Win2k
onwards it has been possible to map to directories deeper
than the share level

Try sharing the users folders and then use \\ServerName\%
username% Hopefully this will give you better results.
