Net Send

I've looked at a number of postings about Net Send and couldn't find
one that matched the problem I'm having.
A couple of XP boxes on our LAN will not receive messages sent with
net send after a reboot. The messenger service is on automatic start
and is running after the reboot. If I do a stop/start on the messenger
service it will receive messeges but then quit again after a reboot.
Before the I do the stop/start, the sending PC does get an error.
All pc's on the LAN are running NAV Corp Edition so I didn't thing
that would have something to do with it since all the settings are the
same for all PC's.
Anyone ever had this?
 
This seems to imply that the sending PC has the problem which I don't
think is the case. All other pc's on the network can send and receive
net send messages fine. It's only a few that have the problem I
described and when you stop/start the messenger service on those
problem pc's, they are fine until they are rebooted.
