Net Meeting using DSL and VPN

Help - I'm trying to host a net meeting from my notebook at home using a
Wireless DSL modem and VPN software....
When I do an IPCONFIG to get my IP Address and set netmeeting up to Host the
meeting. No one trying to get in can get a response from my IP Address......

Any Idea's

Hello Craige.

First off, you most likely need to disable the Windows Firewall, or allow
Netmeeting as an exception.

And second, if you are using a VPN, most likely only people from within your
company will be able to access your IP address since it will probably be
private. If you were going directly over the DSL connection without the VPN,
you may have a public IP address issued by your DSL provider.

But my initial guess would be you either have the Windows Firewall enabled,
or some other firewall product installed on your machine. If the people
trying to connect to your machine are unable to PING it, it's most likely the
firewall.
