.NET Framework

Hi. I have .NET 2.0 installed on my compurer.
When I try to install SyncToy 1.2 it says I need .NET 1.1.
Can 1.1 be installed on a computer that already has 2.0 on it?
Doesn't make sense to me.
Thanks.

..NET Framework 1.1 and 2.0 install separately.

Here's a link for 1.1

It still makes no sense to me that I would have to install .NET 1.1 after I
already have 2.0 on my computer.
Sometimes I just don't understand Bill G.
I'll give it a try.
Thanks.

Because they install separately...
2.0 is not an upgrade for 1.1.

Let us know if installing 1.1 solves
the problem.

And *that's* the part that is confusing people!

Version 2.0 of "X" has always *been* an upgrade replacing version 1.y
of "X"--but *not* for .NET.

I think some rethinking of the naming and versioning scheme needs to
occur, since reeducating all of humanity is unlikely. ;-)

Of course, part of their job responsibility is to keep support
costs down...
