I had my computer running with netframework sp1 installed. Due to a problem,
I had to reinstall ie6 and outlook express 6. I then reinstalled all of the
patches my computer said I needed through windows update. I noticed at that
time that I needed to reinstall the net framework 1.1 through windows update.
When it tried to install it stopped and stated the installation failed. I
then tried to install a different program and it said that I needed to
install net framework and proceeded to download and install it. Upon
installation it stopped and stated "internal error 2908"
"7d4b5591-4c80-42bb-boe5-f2coceeo2c1a" I clicked ok and it stated the same
error message with another batch of numbers (this went on for about for more
times, each time same error message with a different batch of numbers). I
went to my add/remove programs and netframework isn't there. I went to my
administrative tools and it shows two net framework shortcuts. Neither of
the work. One when click on stated: snap in failed to initialize. The
other when clicked stated that I need net framework v1.1.4322. I'm pretty
sure that when I reinstalled ie6 that it blew part or all of net framework
away. How do I reinstall it? Where do I get it from? My computer came
preinstalled with xp home edition.
