.NET Framework 2.0 Configuration Tool

I'm running Vista Ultimate 64-bit. Whenever I start up the .NET Framework 2.0
Configuration tool, it always crashes on me before I can do anything with it.
It crashes immediately after it starts up.

How do I get around this?

Well, I never installed the Framework. It came with Vista. So, I guess it
must be 64-bit. Or isn't it?
