.NET framework 1.1

Hi,

Since there is only one user on my machine (me) my XP was
configured to load up streight into the desktop (without
the need to click on a specific user account in a
wellcome screen).
However, since I installed the .NET framework 1.1 XP now
launcehs a wellcome screen with my user account logon,
and I must click it to get to the desktop. I also noticed
that a new user account for ASP.NET was established (but
it doesn't appear on the wellcome screen).
Can I configure XP to again log into the desktop
immediately (without the need to choose a user account in
the wellcome screen)? And if yes, how?

Hi Danny,

Start/run "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes).

Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok and follow
the prompts to set up a default logon.

You can delete the added account if you want.
