Hi all,
New here, but I have a question.
I am looking to download the .net framework thing so as to use a couple of
programs I have downloaded. I was advised to go to the start menu then click
Windows Update. I did this and then searched for the .net framework, the
file I was attempting to download says its 106MB, Is this right? If not,
does anyone have a direct link to where I can get this?

Hi Beck,

The .Net Framework as far as I know is around 17mb download and found under optional updates.
You can however download the .Net Framework redistributable which is a bit larger (>23Mb) and available here in whatever language you prefer:
