.Net Compact Framework - Pocket PC vs Windows CE???

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am starting to develop a Smart Device application using the .Net Compact
Framework.
I am a newbie so please bear with me.
In setting up a project, I can set it up as a Pocket PC app or a Windows CE
app.
Also, I can select from many different emulators - that is where my concern
is.
If I develop for a Pocket PC the screen size is quite small; however, if I
develop for the Windows CE the screen is larger.
If I develop for the Windows CE then my app form does not fit on the Pocket
PC.
My question: There are many devices out there. What percentage uses the
smaller screen and what percentage uses the larger screen?
I built most of the application targeted to windows CE and then when I
deployed to pocket pc - my screen was far too large.
Any development suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The fact that you are asking the question means the answer is Pocket PC.
Stick with that.

Windows CE is for custom CE-based devices (they are all different) and if
you were targeting one of those you'd know
