.Net 1.0 SP#

I have downloaded and installed Win XP SP2. I have also installed the .Net
1.1 SP1. However, the installation of .Net 1.0 SP3 fails. Any suggestions
on what could be going wrong?
 
If .NET 1.1 SP1 is installed then why would you be wanting to install .NET
1.0 SP3

Becasue the .NET Framework allows for side by side installs of versions. So
the poster will have 1.0 AND 1.1 installed on his machine and will need to
patch BOTH versions.
