Nero photo snap viewer

Hi

I am having a bit of a problem with opening photos in nero photosnap viewer.
All my photos used to open in this application since recently when I try and
open any photos I am recieving an error message " file C:\documents and
settings\administrator\my documents\my pictures could not be opened " I have
read through the manual and looked through the settings but still get this
error.

Can someone please helpme?

Not sure if this is the same problem I had but I fixed mine by
re-registering the DLLs for the plug-ins as follows:
Open Photosnap Viewer from the All Programs menu.
Click File, Configure Plug-ins. The Configure Plug-ins Mangager box
should open.
In the scroll window on the left, highlight the top-level line (e.g.
c:\Program Files\Nero....\FlmgPlg.dll)and click the Register Plug-In button.
Repeat for the other top-level paths.
Check to see if your photos will open now.

(By the way, the path you gave for your My Pictures folder seems to
indicate that you are using the Administrator account as your everyday
working account. That is a very bad idea, especially if you have no
other account on the computer with admin privileges. If that account
gets corrupted, you would have no way of logging on to the computer.)

You should probably download the free Irfan View which is an excellent viewer
and use that instead.

I have tried to use the very latest Nero (7.0) DVD builder to send a heap of
pictures to UK. The program collapses in a heap and is totally worthless. I have
masses of email to and from Nero showing what is wrong and they still have not
managed to produce a working model of that part of the program. I am now asking
for the return of money as the program is useless.

Before version 7.0 they had a program for pictures and indeed also a try at
narration. Funny thing was that the narration for the first picture ended up as
a narration repeated ad infinitum to the very end of the pictures - if they put
crap like that on for sale, you probably should expect about anything from them.

The nero photo snap used to work with no problems untill a few days ago I
got a message on screen and now cannot view any photos in it at all.

Just yesterday I had an email from Germany. There are directions for getting the
computer out of this mess. I shall report here again later when it has been
tried.
They do have a program that will 'so they say' clean Nero from the computer.
However it does not, leaves a lot behind. When installed it work at the first
try but then packs in from then onwards - it shall be intersting to try the new
instructions - however there should not be such a bundle of instructions - the
program should work straight from install.

There is hope for all of us - I just had directions from Nero support. It gives
a print out of 2 pages and tell you to download a newer program which is not
listed as an update.
However it now works as specified except you cannot include any AVI files with
your JPG's as you can with Photodex. That being an american program runs too
slow on AVI files so AVI sound is useless.
