1. Model number & driver version number. (if any)
2. Did you buy it New or used.
3. Did you have it working in any other operating system.
4. Specific error messages.
5. Are you sure it is a Vista issue and not a Nero 6 issue.

We/I will be glad to help if you provide us/me with this information.

Linux users must really be stupid they can't even find their way to a

Greetings! Oh, BTW - I come here for the comic relief. Reading about all
the stuff that does not work with vista but runs perfectly well under
Linux - how's that for a turn-around.

Oh - you'll also note that I did not ask for directions - I'm not lost.

Nero 6 does not work with Vista. ImgBurn which is free does.

Nero 6 doesn't work in Vista.
You should use the newest 7.8.5.0.

Yeah, it's pretty depressing reading about all the problems
over in the Linux groups and you don't have a clue how to
help solve them. I guess it's easier just to come over here
and chuck sh't.

And you are lost - just won't admit it! You have to learn to
ask for directions after you realize you're lost instead of
pretending you're not!

I triedNero 7.8.5.0 -- it doesn't workin Vista either. I bought Nero 7 [the
pakage ht was marked Vista Ready] because the pre-ionstalled Roxio didn't
work. Guess Right now I'm backing up my fata files to DVD on my XP machine.

I'll try ImgBurn.

Nero has a 'remove' program available from their site to completely remove
old versions before installing Nero 7. After using their 'remove' program I
would expect Version 7 to install OK.

Because of the bloat issues with Nero 7, I installed only the subset of
files needed for burning CDs and DVDs, as detailed at
http://mobilepcwiki.com/mpc/index.php?title=Motion/LS800/Windows_Vista_Clean_Install_Notes.

I've had no problems. The previous version of Nero was wiped out entirely
when I did the clean install of Vista.
