Hello, All!

Turns out my XP doesn't pass muster with M$ for legitimacy. I now have a
genuine version I need to install. I would like to install it w/o having to
reinstall all of my programs/preferences. Is it possible to do this thru
update or repair, or do I need to do a clean install?

Thanks,
Colonel Blip.

I clicked on the link "Gordon" has provided (out of curiosity, I have
no problem at present). It took me to a page, the top of which
displays:

"We're sorry, but there is no Microsoft.com Web page that matches your
entry. It is possible you typed the address incorrectly, or the page
may no longer exist. You may wish to try another entry or choose from
the links below, which we hope will help you find what you're looking
for."

What is wrong?

A repair install should do the job.
