Secondary to viral infections/xp home problems, I
purchased a new xp home and a "computer literate" friend
installed it for me. I activated the new xp home and
recieved an "activation ID#" from Microsoft. After
activation, I discovered a 70GB hard drive had become a
37GB drive because my friend did not partition the
disk,as we had discussed. So, I re-installed windows with
the desired partitions. Now, my computer notifies me day-
by-day that I have a certain number of days remaining
to "activate" my re-installed, already "activated" xp
home. Since I already have an "activation #", should I
ignore these warnings? Or, did I re-set
the "thermostat",so to speak, and, now need to
somehow "re-activate" windows because my computer does
not contain an activation code from Microsoft?
