Gentlemen/Ladies:
I am in the process of changing PC's.
1. Want to use my MS Windows XP Professional software on
my new PC, old PC is junk. Software was UPGRADE software,
I will be doing a clean install on new PC.
2. When I installed the first time I had everything I
needed, that was 2 years ago. I nolonger have my old
software originals, etc.
3. What should I do, should I call Microsoft?????? If so,
who do I call.

Without a qualifying older version of Windows, you are stuck with having to
buy the full version. Normally, if you had a Win98 or a WinME cd, you would
boot you computer with the WinXP CD, install, and when it asks you for a
valid version of windows, you would swap the WinXP CD for the older CD, and
then swap back to the WinXP CD to finish installation. You may inquire of
friends/relatives to see if anyone has a disc that would qualify.
