We are moving the company and I need to send 1000 people a email stating the
new address. I have all the email addresses in an Excel spreadsheet. What
is the easiest way with Outlook or even some other program to do this?

Hi Jordan,

Assuming all of the e-mail addresses are in a column or row, just
highlight
all 1000 cells, press CTRL-C, switch to Outlook, and in the To... line hit
CTRL-V, though I would suggest using the BCC line instead to prevent all
recipients from seeing all 1000 addresses (you can see BCC through the
Options button, and you need to specify at least one address in the To...
line, such as your own). You will notice that after you paste the
addresses,
they will be separated by semicolons and underlined.

There are of course more elegant methods, such as creating a distribution
list, importing the spreadsheet to Outlook contacts, ect. But for just one
mailing, this method will be quick and simple.

Except that most smtp servers restrict the max number of recipients of an
email, typically <100.

Mailmerge is the way to go or please try our email scheduler
(http://www.lbetoolbox.com/scheduleemail.htm) which will allow you to send
multiple individual emails, either as a one-off or regularly at a specified
time and interval.

Why import? Why not just use the worksheet data in a Word mail merge?
