Need to erase everything of computer

HI

since a month by now my computer has been showing me a BSOD saying:
"drivel_irql_not_less_or_equal" (check the tread "computer shouts down
suddenly) . Well, it seems that my problem can not be solved by just
fixing something, i contacted the manufacturer; they told me that i need to
erase everything and start over. i think that that is the only solution i
have, i saved all my importand info into CD's and now i want to know how
should i format my computer, or what i need to do to make it work.

I had this problem after installing sp2 and it turned out being caused by a
driver for my NIC (Netgear FA311.) If you've recently installed new
hardware or sp2 you might try updating your device drivers.

I had already formated my computer, saved everything to cd's. After an
hour i had the same problem again, so, this means that one of the few
programs that i installed is causing the problem?

No, it means that more than likely you have a hardware problem. Check
your RAM, and make sure that all of the cooling fans are working properly.

There are a number of things which could give you the stop error
"driver_irql_not_less_or_equal" including bad memory or incompatible
software (including drivers.) I suggest you look at the following to help
you get at the source of the problem http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.php and
you might also google "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal" both the web and
groups and see what others post.
