Windows XP and erasing the hard drive

Hi I want to sell my old computer and don't want the buyer to have all my
information, I was told to erase the hard driive but I am worried the Windows
xp won't come back up?
Is the Windows XP disk that Dell sends with its new computer, can it put
Window XP on the computer.??

You can use the Dell Reinstall Guide for instructions on reinstalling Windows on
your particular Dell system.
