Need to enable Web Content Files in Thumbnails View

Has anyone been able to re-enable the Thumbnails View for
HTM and HTML files? I use the miniature preview of the
web page shortcut to quickly identify and organize the
shortcuts for products. I understand that Microsoft
disabled it for stability and performance reasons as
stated in KB article Q327833. I would like to re-
activate this feature. Any ideas?
