Need some help with Home Network

I am unable to connect to any other computers on my home network. All computers are Windows XP Home, all connected to the same router and all are able to connect to the internet(Which leads me to believe that it is not a hardware problem) Has anyone had this problem before, if so did you find a solution?
 
Couple of questions.
Do you have the firewall down on both machines?
Do you have shares setup?
Are the computers dynamic or static ip? Static preferred.
Have you tried to ping each unit from the other?
Answer these questions will give us enough info to help.
