Need print server for HP 1100 Laser Jet

I've got an HP 1100 Laser Jet printer, which has (from what I can see)
a proprietary HP connection on the back of the printer.(some form of
Centronics, perhaps) and the printer came with a cable which has the
"normal" male 25-pin parallel port on the other end.

I need to find a print server which will work with either of these
connectors. It would be nice if it also had USB ports.

I looked at the DLink DP-G321, which has 1 parallel port and 2 USB
ports. I can't tell if the parallel port is the centronics (not gonna
work because the printer's port on the back is one of the obscure
centronics - it's small and maybe not even centronics at all) I tried
it with a DLink DP-311 (which is Centronics) and it didn't hook up.

I've also looked at the Hawking HPS1P, but that too, seems to have
Centronics for its parallel port.

So, in summary, I need a print server (wired or wireless) which has a
HP/proprietary/centronics-x port (whatever you want to call it) OR just
the "regular" 25-pin parallel port. USB ports would be gravy.

Buy a computer. One running Server 2003, or your favorite flavor of
Linux........

Parallel ports, USB ports, file space and network services to boot......

That's a real print server.

Mark, if you have old 386,486 or Pentium PC you can make the Print server.
Read about
"How to convert an old PC (386 or 486 or Pentium) to a Network Print Server
(based on the Linux Router Project) "
in this link http://pigtail.net/LRP/printsrv/
HP LJ 1100 - ideal for this project.
