need password

I bought an used toshiba laptop computer windows xp from a person who his wife pass away last year taking with her the password to login in the administrator account. Her family gave me a password to login under different user but I do not have the privilege to make changes. any help will be appreciate. toshiba satellite model 5105-s607

If you haven't installed too much to the computer since you purchased
it, use the Toshiba recovery CD to completely re-install the OS and
applications. Note: That will wipe the computer clean of all data and
restore it to the way it shipped from the factory. So be sure to
backup any data you need. That will get rid of any passwords.

There are other ways to crack the password you need but it's probably
best to start fresh anyway.

Actually, if you are referring to the BIOS password that is required
when you start the Toshiba (before any operating system is booted), you
will need to contact Toshiba. A chip on the motherboard has to be
reprogammed. I imagine they'll want some sort of proof of purchase.
