Login Screen

One of our Senior Members has an XP Computer that she wants to create a
secure password in, so she created another account with Administrator
privileges and password but now when she starts her computer the screen
giving the options to log in with the various accounts lasts less than two
seconds and she is not able to use her new account.

Is there anyway that the time of the login screen can be extended please?

What happens after two seconds?

As soon as the login screen disappears the computer just logs in as normal
by what she tells me.

She probably configured her PC such that it does not
require a password to be entered. She must now remove
this setting. Click Start / Run / control userpasswords2 {OK},
then tick the box that requires users to enter a password.

From what she had told me someone altered the login screen time (so she
thinks) but I will advise her to take the advice that you have given. If
she can't get it right I will have to pay her a visit.

Many thanks
