Outlook need outlook expert! lost inbox and ability to switch identity

Help!

My employer uses XP and 2003 Office. Out of the blue, he lost everything in his inbox and where he used to be able to switch identities, that option no longer exists. Also lost everything in his address book. What happened? If I unistall and reinstall outlook would that help?

Hi and welcome to the forum...
Sounds like a corrupt .PST file...Insert the MS Office cd and do a repair install on Office, that will sort anything that is corrupt..As for the lost data that might come back when I repair install is done..Not alway though..
