Dear All,

I have Ghost images in my hard drive. Whenever my win2k system goes
corrupt, i simply restore the image and everything works fine
thereafter. The problem is that i need a boot disk everytime to boot
up the computer and then restore the image.

My question is, is there any possibility that a batch file can be
created and when the computer boots up, I can select the dos mode and
then retrieve the image without the help of a boot disk.

Any help in this line is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

You can easily do this by installing the XOSL boot manager.
I would partition the disk like so:
- Partition 1: Your OS
- Partition 2: Your data & image storage area
- Partition 3 (logical, 8 MBytes): DOS
- Partition 4 (logical, 8 MBytes): XOSL

Set the XOSL menu to boot to Windows within 3 seconds
unless you press ArrowUp or ArrowDown. Note that XOSL
is free. Installing it does NOT modify the Win2000 boot
partition - it merely replaces the MBR with its own MBR.
If you don't like it, restore the MBR to its former value.

Thank you Mr.Pegasus,

It is a great time saver for me now.
Thanks a lot.
