Need .iso for SP2

Edwin

Is there a download available that will give me an .iso that will burn a CD
containing the I386 folder (setup files) for Windows XP Professional,
Service Pack 2?

I have upgraded from SP1 (which came with my computer) to SP2 at the Windows
Update site. My install disk (SP1) no longer works for such functionality as
installing the Recovery Console, etc. When I try to do these things I get
the message that my CD is for an earlier version of Windows and that I will
need to reinstall that earlier version to be able to use my install disk to
get that feature. Of course, I don't want to go back to SP1 to do that.

Please direct me to a site where I can get a download of the full XP
Professional Service Pack 2 CD (OEM Version). I have a valid install key
that came with my computer.

The site you want is MS, administrative updates.
You then need to create a slipstreamed winxp cd containing sp2

Edwin, I think you might need a Slipstreamed WinXP + SP2 CD. If you have a
WinXP CD, then go here to find out
how to do this www.eldergeek.com You can also download AutoStreamer
which is free and easy to use.

You have had some good answers and links to help with slipstreaming but
you said that your CD was OEM and you didn't say who the manufacturer of
your machine is, but it may not be possible to install the Recovery
Console from an OEM install and all support would have to come from them.
I'm no expert so could be totally wrong about this so wait to see if one
of the experts can say for sure.
