Need info to install HD

I have a spare WD EIDE HD sitting around and would like to stick it into
my HP machine. The C: drive is a SATA. Can I connect my EIDE drive
in-line with the CD drive, which appears to have the same connector? If
so, what do I set the jumpers to on the EIDE drive?
TIA

Yes you can, check the jumpers on the CD drive, if it is at the end of the
cable it should be set to master. Set the hard drive to slave and plug it
in, you may need to enter BIOS setup if the drive isn't automatically
detected.

Thanks, David. I will have to run and get a cable extender, if they make
them. The in-line connector won't reach the mount spot for this drive.
