- Need help with line above footer that won't go away

Hello Everybody,

I'm using Word 2002. There is a hoizontal line in the footer section
of my document above the page number that I can't get rid of. When
grabbed, it turns into a parallel line that seems to adjust the height
of the footer area.

Does anyone know how to make it go away?

Thanks!

Probably a border. Select the footer paragraph and:

1. Go to Format | Borders and Shading and select None, or

2. Click on the Borders button on the Formatting toolbar and click on the No
Border button on the Borders flyout palette.
