Need help with Lexmark X125 and windows XP

everytime I try to print something I get amessage that the
print spooler isn't running, so I turned on the print
spooler and now windows Xp will not recognize that there
is a printer at all.
I have tried to talk to Lexmark and they said it was a
microsoft problem so I called them and they passed the
blame back to lexmark and so on.
I hope there is someone out there that can help me.

Have you tried a COMPLETE uninstall and reinstall of the printer..... since
it's a Lexmark, follow Bruce Sanderson's instructions on how to completely
remove a Lexmark...

to remove all traces of the printer. Pay specific attention to Bruce's
special section on Lexmark printers.

Then download a new copy of the software from the Lexmark website at
www.lexmark.com

Install the software and ONLY connect the printer when the software tells
you to do so.
